Currently using Richard Barnbrook and Andy Cameron's landmark critical essay The Californian Ideology (which contains more than 50 footnotes and nearly 80 listed references) as a starting point. Know any seed investors? Keen to turn this into a self-publishing platform that facilitates writers—indeed anyone trying to organise complex ideas through writing—to evidence and illustrate their claims, findings and sources richly and inline to the reader. If it couldoutput a standard academic format PDF that would be great too (although let's face it that format is overdue a rethink).
Proudly influenced by the work of Edward Tufte. Is it possible to put the power to make documents of this quality—transparently and at as close as possible to the speed of thought—in everyone's hands? What would it mean for our discourse if the game was so upped?
